Each project has its own truly individual story: Every project is special to us, no matter what size, schedule, budget, or subject. This process is truly dynamic, and often nonlinear, but one which is influenced both by the client and designer.

RESEARCH
The first phase of every project is research. It entails reading previous collateral, interviewing within the company, analyzing competitive materials, reviewing business and marketing plans, and understanding the brand. The information is an essential part of the design process, providing content, and being aware of the target audience's interests.

COLLABORATION
I invite the client into the process as an active participant. I like to generate word lists that represent the client’s objectives. From those word lists and brainstorming, a mood board is created with color pallets, swatches, type styles, design examples and paper. This is a starting point where concepts evolve, working with the clients thoughts. This helps me navigate through the research phase, and gives an open-minded approach to the ideas generated. Creating a collective effort between the client and myself.
